Favorite SciFi series

I'm a big science fiction fan, and was wondering who else is. Here is a short list of series that I enjoyed, feel free to comment or add anything good I might miss.

Star Trek: Of course, any scifi list must start with star trek, since it really got everything moving. I was never that big a fan of the original series, but it certainly had its moments. TNG started very weakly, but it got a lot better somewhere in the second season. Dont get me started on the shit that followed, and I really, REALLY hope that guys who own the rights lets it rest in peace.

Babylon 5: If theres one thing I had never hoped to see in a scifi setting, it was politicians. Every time I thought there was going to be a gigantic space battle, they end up talking everything out. And when the main character becomes the president of a galactic alliance, it just takes some of the magic out of it. Jim Kirk would never take such a pussy job like president. But damn, those shadow ships were slick.

Farscape: If there is one thing I really enjoyed about this series, then it was the use of animatronics. Its like every second character was made entirely of latex and wires. While trek aliens had big foreheads, pointy ears and strange looking noses, farscape proved it could be done differently.

Firefly: By far, my absolute favorite. If anyone hasnt seen this yet, then you do not know scifi. Finally, a scifi series without any aliens, androids, time travel, energy beings, lasers and "vrooom" noises in the vacuum of space. One of the most original sf series ever, best writing, best acting, best effects. A real masterpiece, that unfortunatly fell prey to the dark magic of the evil producers and didnt last longer than one season. If theres one series I would have liked to see more of, then this is the one.

I know I'm missing a lot here, but lets hear what you guys have to say.

The new Battlestar Galactica is pretty good! I was a big Buck Rogers fan when I was younger...Then there was the short lived series called V...I also liked Logans Run

X-Files probably my all time favorite.

X files pissed me off, there was never an answer. Scully and mulder must be the two most inept fbi agents ever, they were always so close to proving themselves and always lost in the end.

Speaking of Lost, another show that has problems with giving any answers. But I'm still .

I've just dl'd the first season of Red Dwarf, I've heard so much about it, I cant wait. Anyone seen this?

does anyone rember UFO and space 1999 class am also a big x files fan named my little girl dana also the old star wars the new ones r good but i think the old ones r better

I found in the attic some early Issack shorts. been a fan since. Bradbary and the rest followed, someone should do a movie on the Stainless Steel Rat, think it was only 2 books but an awesome idea, movies Ok but the books are so much better (the director's imagination is usally not as good as mine). EX files ok but if you want to be TOTALLY freaked try H.P. LOVECRAFT prob. everthing steven king and eager allen would be if they collaborated

Star Trek, of course. Also, X-Files, Twilight Zone (original 60's, and the newer one from a couple years ago), Fantasy Island (the one from the 90s), Stargate SG-1 and Farscape. But I think I must be forgetting at least one more.
