Just a quick word of warning here - DO NOT eat bananas or other added sources of potassium if you are taking POTASSIUM SPARING DIURETICS!!! If you are taking potassium sparing diuretics, your body does not need extra potassium. Too much potassium can lead to serious cardiac side-effects. Be sure to know what type of diuretic you are taking.
