Last year, my dad gave me a hardcover comic called "The Life of Jesus" for my birthday. It was actually quite funny, it showed jesus as being a hippie type, smoking incense and getting drunk at the last supper. Wasnt the funniest thing I've ever seen, but it was amusing.

But it seems the greeks dont see it that way. He has been convicted,in absence, to six months of prison. Gerhard Haderer, the creator of the book, has called it a scandalous breach of free speach rights and has refused to follow the conviction.

We have the year 2005. We should be beyond these things. Shame on the greek government for allowing this to happen.

Of course, these are the same greeks who tried to boykott the alexander movie because he was shown as being bisexual.

I too agree that we should be over this type of persecution, but we are humans, and there will always be this kind of thing. In the political correctness of the time, it is looked down upon to be religious and nothing is done about it but at the same time if someone says they don't agree with homosexuality they are branded homophobic and are ostricized regardless of it is just their individual belief towards it. There will always be things that are ostricized and things that are overprotected.

...it really doesnt matter which side you take on issues these days....someone will always tell you youre wrong....i go to church every sunday, and even i saw the humor in it....i didnt feel threatened by it...people need humor in their lives to offset all the bullshit in the world today....if you dont, itll make you crazy....
