earlier when i thought the sum was 15 for a reason i cant determine yet, i stumbled across the reason it is so:in the u2 song vertigo he counts 1, 2, 3 14. the square route of each number added to each other equals 14, minus the one. that one can then be substituted from the 14, in the place of the one, to become 11 plus the 2 equals 13. minus the original 14's one in front of the 2, becoming 12. subtract the lone 3 and we have 9.
9. the only odd numbered perfect squared root on the list. 9 plus 1 plus 2 plus 3 equals 15. the difference between the two is the 6, the first three numbers sum. its always fourteen being left out and THATS why bono counted the way he did. because he doesnt like the number 14.
